Bridgerton Locations in Bath that I visited
If you know me personally, or even from my socials, you know that I am the no 1 Bridgerton fan. Bath is known as the period drama location thanks to its everlasting Georgian architecture straight from the 18th century. When the new season was announced, I knew it was time to head back and feel all the feels. The Bridgerton locations in Bath that I visited were all self guided. I had already watched the 1st 2 seasons so many times and googled ever location. Therefore, I was able to map it out by myself. I can probably work as a Bridgerton tour guide in Bath at this point lol.
Bridgerton – The phenomenon
I am willing to admit that there might just be a borderline obsession with it. Since that first advertisement in 2020 and the release on Christmas Day, I have been a huge fan. It is weird how something comes out and consumes me; perhaps it is the virgo in me. When I like something, it becomes somewhat an obsession – I’m not sure if this is a good or a bad thing. Ok, let’s go back to all things Bridgerton. After I watched Daphne fall in love with Simon in season 1 “The Duke and I”, I was sold. The next thing I did was to purchase all 8 books of all 8 siblings. I must have read them in 2 weeks; that is how hooked I was.
You can plan a Bridgerton walking tour in Bath; either self guided or with a tour guide. This guide will help if you have only 1 day in Bath for a Bridgerton walk. I covered all these places in 24 hours; and I can assure you that you could even pack more in if you are not walking with a toddler lol. Please note that there will be spoilers as I’ll be describing the scenes featured. At the point of writing this post, I have watched Seasons 1, 2 and 3.

Royal Crescent
If you have watched any British period dramas, this row will be very familiar to you. It is the pretty perfect row of Georgian architectural town houses which look straight from the 18th century. They are listed so they will remain stuck in time for the foreseeable future, possibly forever. All seasons of Bridgerton have featured this row; mainly used as filler scenes where the ton is casually strolling.
It is also where Lady Whistledown is sold; you’ll see the little vendor collecting his pennies as he distributes copies. I absolutely love walking down this row and we were so lucky to have stayed in one of the town houses.
The Royal Crescent Hotel is located at no 16 and it felt like I was living my real life Bridgerton dream by staying there. However, you don’t have to stay in the hotel to enjoy it. There is a garden just in front and you can have a picnic while the row is the backdrop. Or you can simply stroll along and enjoy the beauty of this historic street.

1 Royal Crescent
The famous home of the Featheringtons. In real life, it is actually a museum which means you can go in and enjoy the space. Bridgerton only featured the front door and although the door is white, it was painted blue for the the production. All 3 seasons feature this front door very prominently. The Featherigntons are often seen standing in front or walk up the stairs into their house. Penelope in particular is seen in front of the door when Colin comes back from his travels in season 3.
As it is on the Royal Crescent, it is an easy spot so make sure to check it out before or after you’ve seen the famous row.

Beauford Square
This beautiful quiet street is where Bath’s Theatre Royal is located. Like the other locations, its architecture looks straight out of the 18th century. I really enjoyed finding this street and thought it was so beautiful.
It was used in season 1, Daphne and Simon’s season. Penelope had just found out that Marina’s pregnancy is as a result of “love” and couldn’t wait to update Eloise. They stroll along Beauford square with their chaperons and discuss Marina’s situation. Although Penelope does not tell her it is Marina, the thought of being pregnant due to “love” scares Eloise. It was such a funny conversation and I chuckled throughout.
Beauford Square also appears when Simon and Daphne ride away after their wedding. They are en route Clyvedon, his stately home and briefly pass through this beautiful street.
Abbey Square
This is another part that looks so much like a square stuck in time. It is actually around the corner from Bath Cathedral and the Bath Spa. A few scenes were shot around here as it serves as the market area in Season 1. It also featured when Simon and Daphne were riding away from Bridgerton house to Clyvedon. More notably, just under the arch is where Anthony’s lover, Sienna lived. He is seen knocking frantically at her door the night before his duel with Simon. It features again when he goes to pick her up for the ball but she is with another man.
Abbey Deli
This beautiful instagram worthy deli is actually the Modiste’s shop. It is where the girls would visit so they could make new frocks for balls, weddings etc.
Since Bridgerton is set around the marriage season for each sibling, the Modiste is a very important part of this production’s story. Madam de la Croix who is the Modiste is a very interesting character. We initially think she is French but find out she is actually an English woman pretending to be French so she can appear fancier.
The shop is also where Benedict visited her a few times in Season 1 when they were in their romantic liaison. She also took care of Sienna in this location when Anthony dumped her.
Abbey Deli is a lovely little deli and if you are in Bath, go in and grab something to eat. The staff is very pleasant and they know everyone visits because of Bridgerton’s fame. As much as these locations are there to see, I like to patronise them as much as possible too.
Trim Street
Also known as the spoon licking location where everyone fell in love with the Duke of Hastings. No 12 Trim street is a Hairdresser’s shop where the Duke met with Daphne for afternoon tea. They are in deep discussion about their ruse and the marriage mart. Simon now licks his spoon seductively (unbeknownst to him of course; because he is just sexy without even trying). Daphne is mesmerised and the whole world falls in love with him in this particular moment.
A few days later, Lady Danbury warns Simon to stop wasting Daphne’s time if he is not serious about her. The Prince has shown interest so Daphne might have a proposal from him. Simon realises he might be in too deep; but since he has vowed not to get married, he tells Daphne that he is done. It was in front of this door that he tells Daphne that he is no longer going to continue with their fake dating. It leaves Daphne all confused but he has made up his mind.
Bath High Street
The popular row of colonnades which is visible when Simon rode into the city. It was the first that we were introduced to him. He rode on this majestic horse, looking so dapper and ready to take his place as the Duke of Hastings. This location is in the popular city centre, in front of Primark which always makes me chuckle. Imagine Primark being the scene of an 19th century production; how funny is that?!
Holburne museum
This is another one of my favourite Bridgerton locations in Bath I visited. It is such a beautiful museum and I can see why it features as one of the locations. Holburne museum was used as Lady Danbury’s stately home. Well, the front of it. The first time we see it is in Season 1 when Simon rides into the city and stops in front of Lady Danbury’s house. It’s the first time we are introduced to this beautiful location that will be shown in the next 2 seasons as well.
The Holburne museum has featured in Season 3 when Lady Danbury throws the 1st ball of the season. Bridgerton fans knew when season 3 had started production because a few people saw when the dress up of Holburne house began. It was the cue we needed to get excited. Something tells me it will be used in subsequent seasons as Lady Danbury remains a major part of the stories.
Prior Park and Gardens
Shall we promenade? Ok now we are at my most favourite of all the Bridgerton locations in Bath I visited. It is a National Trust property and entry is £10 for adults, £5 for children, free for under 5s.
Prior Park and Gardens is so beautiful and perfect for walks, picnics and a chill. The gorgeous Palladian bridge is one of the last 4 in the world so there is some history to witness as well. I find it so majestic and romantic; no wonder it features in Bridgerton. You will see it throughout each season as it is very popular for the promenade scenes.
Daphne and Simon promenaded here in season 1. My favourite feature was season 2 when the wedding had been called off and Violet suggested a promenade. The Bridgertons, Sharmas and Lady Danbury promenade in this location while the ton ignores them. You see, they had just been involved in THAT scandal and nobody wanted to associate with them.
I really love this part of Bath as it is near the city centre but feels like you’re deep in the countryside. It is perfect for kids to run around and so romantic for couples to have a stroll and picnic.

Bridgerton locations in Bath that I visited: My exact walking route
Since we stayed at the Royal Crescent Hotel and Spa, we started our walking tour on Royal Crescent. My first stop was the row and then no 1 Royal Crescent to see the Featheringtons lol.
We walked to Beauford Square and then to Trim street which is only a few minutes away. We walked through Bath Cathedral and bath spa to Abbey Square. Right on the side Abbey square is Abbey Deli.
To the other side is Sally Lunn’s which is located in the oldest house in Bath since 1482. Although this is not a Bridgerton location, you cannot visit Bath without a visit to Sally Lunn’s.
Then we went to Bath High street and saw the beautiful colonnades. Beauford square, Trim street, Abbey Square and the high street are all around each other; so it does not matter which you see first.
Next, a walk to Holburne museum but go through the Pulteney bridge as it is yet another landmark to see in Bath. Although Pulteney bridge was not used in Bridgerton, it is a must see.
After Holburne museum, you can walk to Prior Park and Gardens; however, we took a taxi. In about 7 mins, we were there.
A Bridgerton summary
I think Bridgerton speaks to me as it is everything I enjoy about life. There’s the gorgeous Bridgerton family who are so close knit which was unusual for the time.
The Matriarch, Violet who lost the love her life to a bee sting while she was pregnant with their 8th child. She has to raise all 8 children by herself while mourning the greatest love she will ever have.
Then there are the beautiful romance stories each of her children have which is different from the other. I especially enjoyed the period it was set in, the friendships, outfits and the stunning cinematography.
Something I wondered as I walked was how the whole thing was filmed. These are usually busy areas so it must have been interesting to shut down whole streets for the production. Sometimes, I wonder if those who live in Bath get upset about this lol. Imagine going to work and some parts of your journey are closed off because they are filming yet another period drama. I’d be fuming.
Until next time…
