Breakfast at Tiffany’s…in Harrods
What is fancier than having breakfast at Tiffany’s? In Harrods? We have all watched the movie or at least, heard about Breakfast at Tiffany’s. You know, the classic movie that keeps on giving. Audrey Hepburn in her classic black dress with pearls, over sized glasses and hairdo became iconic. I cannot count the number of Tiffany inspired birthdays or engagement parties I’ve been to. And I’m sure there are many more to come.
The first time I knew that I could actually have breakfast at Tiffany’s was a few years ago. Mr E and I were going to New York and I was looking up fun things to do. Now I’m not sure how I stumbled upon it but I saw that you could have breakfast at the Tiffany & co store in Manhattan. I tried booking and of course, it was impossible as all dates were fully booked. From what I remember, I was on standby for an opening incase someone dropped out. We all know nobody drops out of such bookings so I never got the call.
Once I found out that there was Breakfast at Tiffany’s in Harrods, I was not going to miss this one. We reserved our breakfast date via open table and started counting down. Mr E and I love our dates but we are more used to lunch or dinner dates. A breakfast date was a new one but I was determined to do Tiffany’s the right way.

Getting There
Breakfast at Tiffany’s was at 10am on Sunday morning so we drove to Harrods and parked for free. The closest train station is Knightsbridge underground station and a short walk to Harrods. Driving that early into Knightsbridge was easy. At 10am on a Sunday morning, most of London is still asleep recuperating from Saturday night shenanigans. Even though Harrods is not open until noon on Sundays, the Blue Box Café entrance was open. We parked on Hans crescent and walked into the building!
The Tiffany Blue Box Café is where Breakfast at Tiffany’s is served. Going through the store, it is located just after the Tiffany & co jewellery booth.
Service
As soon as we got in, our reservation was checked and we were shown our seats by a polite waitress. After about 2 mins, our order was taken and in under 10mins, our “first course” was ready! Social distancing was observed, tables were about 3metres in between and all the waiters wore masks. It is weird to always put this in my restaurant reviews now but this is the new normal.
Service was lovely from the doorman to everyone who waited on us. Breakfast at Tiffany’s in Harrods lasts 1hr 30mins; again I’m used to a 2hr slot for 2 people. However, I imagine that they would need to maximise time as much as possible. Or else people would just take pictures in there all day lol. For a 2-course breakfast, I thought we would feel rushed but it was actually ok. We were done eating just after the hour so it was not a problem at all.
Menu was a tick box card. We ticked the combinations we wanted, the waiter collected the card and served accordingly!
The Food
This was surprisingly good. I say surprisingly because I’ll be honest, I was going there purely for the vibes. Don’t judge me lol, I just felt like it was going to be one of those cute places with no substance. This meant that my expectations were not very high which I know is silly. I was fine just going to see what all the fanciness was about lol. So colour me surprised!
It was a 2-course breakfast. There were 3 selections to choose from which all came with tea or coffee and a glass of juice. We started with croissants and fruit salad. Mr E had the butter croissant with chocolate crémeux filling and mine was a raspberry jam filling. I had the English breakfast tea, Mr E had a latté and we both had orange juice.
My main dish was the Fifth Avenue bagel and Mr E had the Eggs Florentine. So yummy! It was too much food for me lol. By the time I had finished by croissant and fruit salad, I knew the bagel was going to be extra. I mean, this was only breakfast so it was a lot to eat lol. However, it is worth noting that Breakfast at Tiffany’s is an experience and not just a meal!
Ambiance
The Tiffany Blue Box café is cute, intimate and small. There must have been about 6 or 7 tables of 2/3/4 people on each. The space is stunning, just as you would imagine. Its tiffany blue colour palette was of course the theme with white highlights. It would not be Breakfast at Tiffany’s without the Audrey Hepburn references, would it?!
Value for money
Our breakfast was from a set menu and was £39 per person with a 10% service charge. The other 2 Breakfast at Tiffany’s choices were with champagne at £58 and £62 per person. Personally, I recommend going for the £39 option unless you are desperate for alcohol. Paying the extra £23 for a glass of champagne did not make sense to us lol.
It is great value for money considering all what you get for £39. Fruit salad, croissant with a filling and a main hot dish with tea or coffee and juice! Considering it is THE Breakfast at Tiffany’s and its location is Harrods, you are paying for the vibes, location and food. So, I totally think its price point is very fair.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s in Harrods was a cute breakfast date. Next to us on our right was a family celebrating their teenage daughter’s birthday. To our left were 2 tables with couples and/or friends. On the far end, it looked like a mother and daughter breakfast date. So it is somewhere for everyone. The iconic movie definitely gives it a sense of everlasting popularity, which will most likely be around as long as the restaurant is there. While I don’t think it is an everyday breakfast spot, it is definitely somewhere worth going to.
