Luxury Spa Day at Corinthia, London
One thing I always look forward to is a spa day. When I booked a luxury spa day at Corinthia London for Mr E and I for his birthday, we knew we were in for a treat. We had to move the dates around a few times thanks to lockdown but finally, it was time to go and pamper ourselves. ESPA Life at Corinthia is one of the most luxurious spa experiences in London. It embodies and exceeds what you would expect as far as spa days go.
When it came to picking the specific package, the choices all looked amazing. After much consideration, we settled for the Time for Tea session. Since Mr E and I love our afternoon teas, it made the choice a little easier to make. The package also included a 90 mins full body massage and unlimited use of the spa facilities.
Getting There
Corinthia London is a 5 star hotel right at the heart of Embankment. The closest train station is Embankment. Corinthia is actually in a lush location as it calls Westminster and Trafalgar Square its neighbours.
The Corinthia Hotel’s address is Whitehall Place SW1A 2BD which is where ESPA life at Corinthia is located. It features 17 treatment rooms, a thermal floor and private spa suite. There is a gym as well with 24/7 access where there are personal trainings being offered.
Thermal Floor
For our luxury spa day at Corinthia, London, the first thing was to complete some health forms. Then it was off to enjoy the spa facilities. With our package, we could use the spa facilities an hour before and an hour after our treatments. The thermal floor had everything and it was full on luxury. It was fitted with steam room, sauna, pools with air and water massage jets and heated lounges to relax in.
I think what is even more beautiful is the dramatic architecture of the entire floor. The thermal floor is dark, sexy and nothing like any other thermal floor I have been to. Phones are not allowed on the floor to respect privacy so I had to ask a staff for permission to get some photos when nobody was in sight. The process was so long-winded which involved asking the Manager and me explaining that I was a blogger 500 times. I do love that privacy was respected tbh as it is quite a popular facility, which attracts celebrities. Imagine going there with the thought to unwind and some random girl (aka: me) is there snapping photos. Cringe!

Personalised Massage
This was my second time having a massage at ESPA life and once again, it was wonderful. Three words to describe it are relaxing, serene and perfect. We both had personalised full body massages for 90 mins and of course, I slept off during mine. Well, not particularly deep sleep but I kept drifting in and out of sleep the whole time. That is just how relaxing it was!
Afternoon Tea
Our Luxury Spa day at Corinthia London included Indulgent Afternoon Tea.
It came with a glass of Laurent Perrier Champagne (my fave) and an unlimited refill of tea! By the time we finished our massage we were famished. Well, I was as I had not really eaten anything all day. We hungrily went through the first batch of sandwiches in minutes and were offered some more. Of course, we said yes. Now, I’m not sure if the staff was just extra kind but I would never say no to free sandwiches.
By the time we had eaten all the sandwiches, scones and drank a few cuppas, we were full AF. However, we still had just enough room to finish our glasses of champagne haha! We ended up asking to take the sweet cakes and pastries home while toasting to another quintessentially British afternoon tea.
Luxury Spa Day at Corinthia, London: What to Pack
The great thing about a spa day is that you do not need to look fancy or anything. The less clothes and jewellery you have on you, the better. Aside from the clothes you wear to the spa, a swimwear is required for the thermal floor. Corinthia London provided free bathrobe and slippers; with which you could walk around the facilities. Also, there are towels everywhere so you don’t need to bring any of that as well. Basically, everything is provided for you so you really don’t have to bring too much.
Is a luxury Spa Day at Corinthia London worth it?
Absolutely! There is no denying that this is a boujee experience. It is a special treat for celebrations – birthdays, anniversaries or if you wish, just another fancy day out! Corinthia London is a beautiful hotel and although I did not have the chance to walk around, I could see so many little cute corners.
They say if you go somewhere a second time, you must definitely like the experience. Or else why would you go there more than once? My first time was exciting and this time, I made sure to savour every minute of the experience. We spent about 5 hours in total and it was just perfect.
