Purpose

January 1, 2019

I decided to finally stop procrastinating and create this website. See, I’m not one for New Year resolutions which is surprising as I’m quite the planner; however, for some reason, I don’t usually hold myself to resolutions. I already had a diary of my trips from 2014 and a million pictures so I knew that content was not going to be a problem but the will to jump all in and push the start button.

I toyed with a few names and with the help of my sisters, best friends and Mr E, my website was born.

Why Travel?

I used to think that Paris was going to be my forever abode after I visited the city for the first time in 2005 and fell in love with it. I told everyone who cared to listen that I was going to move to Paris and live there forever but then, in 2009, I moved to Birmingham (United Kingdom) for my Master’s degree and never looked back. I moved to London in January 2014, Mr E and I got married in June 2014, we went to St Lucia on our honeymoon in September 2014 and the rest is travel history! I guess that lying lazily on the beach and drinking endless Daiquiris reignited the travel bug within us and we knew then and there that travel was going to be an exciting part of our married life.

What we have learnt from our trips.

I started travelling with my husband from 2014 when we got married. I aways say that we found our love for travel together. Travelling with your partner is really interesting. I find that there is a deeper form of intimacy you discover when you see new places with that person for the first time. It helps that I’m married to someone who has the same travel passion as me. We have also come to realise that not surprisingly, we do love our comfort. Backpacking and couch surfing are not for us. I envy people who do these but I know I could never embark on those sorts of adventure. We also realised that we were not so adventurous (read: skydiving, zip lining and plane jumping. Wait, is plane jumping a thing?) Anyway, we just like to wander around and get lost in a new city while experiencing its culture. Oh! And I like to look cute and take pictures on the way too haha

Now, with our baby, travel has become even slower and more beautiful. It’s something to watch a sunset with your partner but it’s something even more special to see your little’s eyes light up at yet another sunset.

Lifestyle.

I do have a lot of thoughts I would like to share from time to time. I love going to brunches and hangouts in general; just count me in if there is a reason to get dressed and look fancy. This blog will touch on everything from luxury choices to travel hacks and savings tips; in summary, every other fun part of my lifestyle.

Privacy Policy.

All posts and pictures are mine and reflect my personal opinions. Pictures are taken by me or for me. Only repost if you have my authorisation and credit me where you have used a link or excerpt from this site. If you would like to use any of my material, please contact me prior to this.

On a final note…

LifeWithBugo is an extension of my thoughts, which I have always documented on my phone, post-it notes and diary. I’m sharing things I love to do and I am aware that there will be differences in opinions and that is understandable. To make this blog as interactive as possible, the comment section will be open for suggestions, recommendations and criticism as well. Let us remember to be kind.
