Top 5 Instagrammable spots in LA: A Photo Diary of my faves

Thanks to social media, no trip is complete without the perfect Instagram shot. It was actually not as easy as I thought to pinpoint my fave spots that would be 100% Instagram-worthy but I have managed to narrow my long list down to my top 5. Let’s get into it, shall we?!

1. Rodeo Drive

Everybody who goes to LA MUST have gone to Rodeo Drive right? I mean it is THE heart of LA so why not?! Best believe that in keeping with my LA theme of living my best lavish life, I sashayed down Rodeo Drive like I was Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman hoping from shop to shop. Every single corner of Rodeo Drive is photogenic. I probably took about 100 pictures there and they all looked cute!

Look out for one of the world’s rarest cars; the yellow Bijan Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe! Welp! that was a mouthful lol This insanely luxurious car just sits in front of House of Bijan and its interiors are draped in exotic skin. Another gorgeous backdrop for pictures if Rodeo Drive on its own is not boujee enough for that perfect Instagram shot!

Also look out for the cobblestone walkway Via Rodeo which is just a few streets from Rodeo Drive. I have included this walkway as it is very pretty and serves as a cute backdrop for pictures. There is a signpost, which highlights Via Rodeo and N Rodeo Drive and tourists cannot get enough standing next to it. There are hanging flower pots littered on the street and beautiful store entrances, which also serve as the perfect backdrop for pictures. Strike your best pose and take a picture!

2. THE Pink Wall

Located in the beautiful Melrose Avenue, it is actually a Paul Smith clothing store that is painted in bright pink. It is a very popular tourist attraction but the wall is well spread that you will always get a free section to get a nice shot. We got there quite early in the afternoon and it was empty. I wonder if people actually shop in the store or just take pictures in front of the wall lol. Just to note that if you go there with a professional camera, you might not be allowed to take a picture; I’m sure the security guy banned some people who had massive DSLRs but trust me, thanks to the sun, blue skies and pink wall, your iphone is perfect!

Across from the Pink wall, there is a graffiti wall that I thought was cute too as it looks like a Los Angeles postcard. I feel like this might not be a permanent painting and the graffiti is changed from time to time so look out for it anyway.

There are a lot of graffiti walls littered around Melrose place so be vigilant and see how many you can spot.

3. Sprinkles Cupcake ATM

This is a cute cupcake machine that resembles an ATM. You touch screen, select your cupcake or cookie, it sums up your charge, you pay, it dispenses! But I am very sure that buying a cupcake to eat is not the main reason tourists stop to use this ATM. Its photogenic bright pink, red and green backdrop serves as a cute prop for the most perfect Instagram shot! The cupcakes are yummy too and there is a variety to choose from. So you can satisfy your sugar craving while taking the perfect picture; win win!

4. The Beverly Hills hotel (Front Entrance and Reception)

Located on Sunset Boulevard. This one is dreamy and has one of the most beautiful receptions I have ever seen. We went to the Fountain restaurant for breakfast and just stood in awe of how pretty the hotel was. From the leafy entrance with green and white high ceilings and a rolled out red carpet, to the pink walls lined up to the entrance of the hotel. Don’t be shy to take pictures in every corner; even the Kardashians do the same lol

5. Beverly Hills sign

In Santa Monica Boulevard. It is located in a little park aptly named the Beverly Gardens Park and sits just on a very cute Lily Pond. It serves as a gorgeous backdrop for your photos so be sure to wear something cute to blend in with the floral backdrop. It is so pretty in spring and summer when the flowers are in full bloom and the lilies are bursting. As a popular landmark, it is very popular with tourists but from every angle you stand (or sit), you should still get the perfect insta shot!

Bonus – All of Beverly Hills tbh.

The unending palm trees, blue skies and crisp air make for a good photo. Beverly Hills is an instagrammer’s dream. You could legit wake up, stand on your balcony and you have the best backdrop for a selfie. It’s almost unreal. I remember on one of our evening walks and Mr E and I joked that even the dogs and cats were Instagram-ready. Everything legit seemed out of a movie and totally in place.

Of course you probably have the not-so-cute areas in LA but remember my 1st post of the series where I advised that I was in LA to live my best life? Well, that’s exactly what we did! We did not get to see the other side (but I’m sure it does exist) so for now, the LA I visited was mostly what I had seen in movies (except Venice beach ahem*).

This wraps up my LA series and I hope you enjoyed all of them!

Do you know any other Instagrammable locations in LA? Spilllllll!

Also, what did you think about the series?
